MTN Foundation Opens ₦100 Million Equipment Grant for Women Entrepreneurs
The MTN Foundation has opened applications for Phase 8 of its ICT and Business Skills Training Programme, targeting 3,000 Nigerian women aged 18–35 who run microbusinesses in Abia, Rivers, Ogun, Kwara, Kano, and Gombe states. Applications close on 11 October 2026.
The programme combines digital and business skills training with practical learning to help women improve how they operate and grow their businesses. Participants will complete self-paced online modules, attend instructor-led sessions, learn from experienced entrepreneurs, and take part in a capstone project challenge.
The five-week programme also provides data support to help participants access the training. The top 100 participants will receive equipment grants of up to ₦1 million each, drawn from a total grant fund of ₦100 million. The equipment support is competitive and is not guaranteed for every participant.
Who Can Apply?
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Be Nigerian women aged 18–35.
- Own and manage a microbusiness that has operated for no more than two years.
- Have a business located in Abia, Rivers, Ogun, Kwara, Kano, or Gombe State.
Why It Matters to South-East Businesses
For women running small businesses in Abia State, the programme offers an opportunity to build digital skills and compete for equipment that could support business operations. Eligible entrepreneurs in Rivers State can also apply.
The training may help participants strengthen their use of digital tools, improve business practices, and identify practical ways to grow. However, applicants should distinguish between the training benefits available through the programme and the equipment grants reserved for the top 100 participants.

Eligible applicants can review the programme requirements and access the application route through the official MTN Foundation ICT and Business Skills Training page.
