Abia State is preparing to host two international trade events in November and December, with more than 500 investors, business leaders, and participants expected from the United States, Europe, Asia, the Caribbean, and other African countries.
The events are AFRICANDO 2026 U.S.-Africa Trade and Investment Conference/Expo, scheduled for 17–19 November at the International Conference Centre in Umuahia, and the third Aba International Trade Fair and Exhibition, scheduled for 27 November–6 December in Aba.
According to Abia State Chief of Staff Caleb Ajagba, the events are intended to help entrepreneurs, manufacturers, traders, innovators, professionals, and emerging businesses showcase their products, establish partnerships, meet potential investors, and access wider market.
AFRICANDO 2026 will also feature business matchmaking, policy forums, an exhibition, and sector-focused sessions covering areas including manufacturing, agriculture, financial services, healthcare, energy, logistics, technology, and AI.
The Abia Global Chamber of Commerce says registration for AFRICANDO 2026 is open, with the conference taking place at the International Conference Centre, Umuahia.
What this means for businesses
Abia-based founders, manufacturers, traders, and service providers planning to participate should prepare their products, company profiles, pitch materials, and partnership offers ahead of the events. The state has specifically encouraged businesses to register, secure exhibition spaces, and participate in business-to-business meetings and investment sessions.
